Tristan Zhu 🇺🇸 USA

VIOLINIST

Tristan Zhu is a scholarship fellow at the Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago, a training center for advanced pre-college musicians, where he studies with Almita Vamos. He began studying violin at age 5, his previous teachers include Davis King, and Aurelien Pederzoli. He is also a member of Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Symphony Orchestra.

He has received awards at DePaul Concerto Festival, First Prize Winner of DuPage Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Auditions, and many other programs.

An avid chamber and orchestral musician, Tristan regularly and actively participates in many community outreach events.

Tristan is also a varsity runner, and has a curious mind for physics and engineering.
