An internationally recognized concert pianist and dynamic music educator, Zejin Cheng has earned a global reputation for both virtuosic artistry and visionary teaching. Trained in the German-Austrian tradition under renowned mentors Wei Danwen and Xian Jinsong, Zejin specializes in Classical, Romantic, and contemporary repertoire with a refined command of tonal precision, structural clarity, and dramatic interpretation.

A standout in the global competition scene, Zejin swept six prestigious awards in 2025 alone, including the Platinum Prize at the World Masters Competition (Romantic Category B), Double First Prizes at the Paris Artis International Music Competition, and the coveted Gold Medal at the Chopin International Piano Competition. Earlier accolades include top prizes from the Bach, Bizet, and St. Petersburg International Music Competitions.

As an educator, Zejin is the creator of the “Theory-Technique-Artistry” Tripartite Curriculum, an integrative pedagogical framework combining music theory, history, and compositional training. This approach has produced award-winning protégés, including Jiang Chunyi, 1st Prize winner at the Hong Kong International Piano Competition. With a 100% student admission success rate, Zejin has guided young talents to elite institutions such as Mannes Prep, Tianjin Juilliard, and Manhattan School of Music.

In addition to solo performance and teaching, Zejin is a seasoned music director and arts leader. They directed the 123-member “My Motherland” production with performances across five provinces, developed a simulated concert training program reaching over 800 young musicians, and served as artistic director for national choral festivals in Beijing.
